    ça faisait semaines que je n'avais pas pris le temps de venir jeter un oeil ici. Et bien c'est pas mal, comme expérience. Du coup j'ai l'impression de découvrir de nouveaux bébés, qui grandissent bien.
    Pas vraiment le temps de me lâcher sur les commentaires mais il y a deux photos qui le méritent : d'abord celle de Laurent avec les deux petits dans les sacs kangourous (c'est dans un post plus ancien me semble-t-il), je me demande où il va mettre le matos d'escalade, le vélo et tout le matériel qu'il trimballe d'habitude. il a beau avoir de grands bras, ça se complique un peu.

    Ensuite la dernière de ce post ci, c'est pas très joli Kristine de faire porter à ton fils le poids de ta gourmandise. Profite de manger ça tant qu'il ne te chipe pas tout car s'il a le deuxième estomac de son père, votre budget pâtisserie risque de considérablement augmenter.

Hit a rough patch

Yesterday was a tough day.  Little Miss Sophie had an impressive spit-up episode where she stopped breathing and turned red and was choking.  It was scary and left me shaken up for the rest of the day.  I was also tired, exhaustingly utterly tired.  And then little miss Sophie had a series of poopy diapers that didn't look quite normal.  The nurse kept checking in with the doctors and finally they decided that a series of blood tests and an x-ray of Sophie's tummy were necessary.  The results of the blood test said that she doesn't have an infection or bacteria, but they want do the labs again later tonight to make sure nothing has been incubating in her system.  The x-ray also doesn't conclusively show that everything is normal with her intestines.  So, they are erring on the conservative side and Sophie is on an IV again.  No feeding for 48 hrs.  More x-rays and blood tests along the way to chart her progress.  If everything is ok...

So much to be thankful for! Wonderful Thanksgiving!

There are sooo many fun photos to share from Thanksgiving, thank-you to Jess and Linn for taking them (and maybe others too, I'm not sure).  I thought maybe being away from family over the holiday would feel sad and a bit like something was lacking, but really it felt like warm, loving family being with Jess, Jeff, Linn and Cliff.  We also had Jenise, Simon, Brigida and Duncan come later in the afternoon to help us eat the three pies that Laurent had made -- that was a blast of warmth and fun too. Sophie and Theo were not shy, they loved having all the friends and family around.  And you'll see that Sophie in particular was ecstatic about the zip line that Papa and Cliff set up in the backyard.  She did not want to come down from it. Thank you to the Hoyts for merging your Thanksgiving celebration with ours.  Linn was my Gravy Angel and she also shared her awesome sweet potato recipe.  The day was delicious and fulfilling on many many levels! ...
