France is... baguettes, ice cream, the beach, climbing, and LOTS of friends!

When we arrive in Nice, a stop at Laurent's favorite ice cream shop is mandatory.  Here we are at Fenocchio's.  We're pretty sure the kids like it.

Just to be sure, I ask them to give me the "thumbs up!".  It takes a bit of concentration to achieve.

"Look, I got it Soph!"

Some selfie sillines with Pierre
We had American friends with us during our first two weeks in France.  They helped spoil the kids a lot.  Kalli spent quite a few afternoons with them, doing things like crown-making!

Sophie has developed some character since arriving.  She's been given a wardrobe of clothing to choose from which makes her so excited, she jumps out of bed every morning because she wants to pick out something cute to wear and get changed.  She's getting her hair styled almost every day too.

AND... she's praticing attitude.  This is her new "I'm not pleased with you look".  She's not actually unhappy in these photos... she's acting.  It's foreboding.  I say that we're screwed when she is in fact a teenager.  Because she plays one far too well already.

"Hey Soph, do you want to stop pretending to be sassy long enough to eat some chips??"
Of course, there is CLIMBING when in France.  Check it out, the kids have climbing shoes now.

This is Theo, deciding just to hang out for a really long time while at the top:

Note small human speck in upper right corner of photo.  Good job belaying, Maman!

Sorry, no climbing photos of Papa's naked back this time.  But I do have this fantastic video to share (if you can't sell sex, sell humor):

And we don't hit Fenocchio's just once, my friends.  We're only saved because we don't live as close to it as we do to Sweet Cow at home (which we visit almost daily.  For sure on a weekly basis.)  Thumbs up for France!
Theo AND Sophie sporting new clothes and shoes.  FYI, Theo is much more difficult to please when clothes shopping.
