Happy Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day, and Nearly-Six-Months-Old Day!

 

Theo and Sophie are really fun these days.  They make us laugh.  They're moving, laughing, smiling, grabbing things, and making the startling realization that they have control over their body parts.  Theo is all about doing ab workouts, raising his legs and trying to roll every morning, over and over.  Grunting all the while.  Sophie seems to be more of a natural.  She rolls, she scootches along quietly.  Laurent found her under the chair yesterday, about three feet from where he had left her.  She has an amazingly strong grip.  She's gonna be a good climber, if she ends up liking that kind of thing.

We're in the sweet spot between their awakening sense of the world around them and when teething turns them into unhappy little monsters.  Ha.  Theo shows signs of sprouting teeth -- red cheeks, swollen gums, and lots of drool.  I mean, LOTS of drool.  He also seems to enjoy gnawing on things, particularly the random fingers and wrists of parents who happen to put them within easy reach of his mouth.
