Miel! Honey! We love it!!

Image
And this is how we eat it. Taking advantage on a seriously warm day (70!!!) in January papa opened the bee hive to inspect it. We were thrilled to finally look at the bees that we have been talking about so much (we know they are the ones who make the honey we love!). eventually a small piece of honey comb was broken in the process and put aside for our delight. We eat it all!!! Tomorrow we'll find out what digested wax looks like in diapers as we were not really successful at spiting it out. But we tried. Loving life, having fun

Play Ball!

Just had to share another video.  I am especially fond of the end, when one lends a hand to the other:

Lovers of Dance and Music

The kids are going to their first dance class tomorrow afternoon.  I think they're going to love it.  They like dressing up in "dancing skirt" (skirts, scarves, other costume things we have around the house) and they love Latin music in particular.  It's a lot of fun to watch and encourage their passion for movement and music. Along the same theme, here's another fun video during our car ride home:

So much to be thankful for! Wonderful Thanksgiving!

There are sooo many fun photos to share from Thanksgiving, thank-you to Jess and Linn for taking them (and maybe others too, I'm not sure).  I thought maybe being away from family over the holiday would feel sad and a bit like something was lacking, but really it felt like warm, loving family being with Jess, Jeff, Linn and Cliff.  We also had Jenise, Simon, Brigida and Duncan come later in the afternoon to help us eat the three pies that Laurent had made -- that was a blast of warmth and fun too. Sophie and Theo were not shy, they loved having all the friends and family around.  And you'll see that Sophie in particular was ecstatic about the zip line that Papa and Cliff set up in the backyard.  She did not want to come down from it. Thank you to the Hoyts for merging your Thanksgiving celebration with ours.  Linn was my Gravy Angel and she also shared her awesome sweet potato recipe.  The day was delicious and fulfilling on many many levels! ...

Fall Magic

Lots of fun, magical moments with the kids these days.  Every day they're repeating new words and showing us their sense of humor, how much they love music and dancing.  And they are super ACTIVE!  Laurent and I have stories to share with each other every night about our adorable kids.  I think we'll keep them.  :) Sophie douses Theo Theo's turn!
