Just a flesh wound!

Image
Went to the trampoline gym.  It was perfectly safe.  Let Theo climb up onto a plastic chair as we were fighting with Sophie to put on shoes for leaving.  Not so safe.  Poor little boy fell and hit his chin onto the floor.  First time we've have blood.  :(  Just another way that son resembles Papa now (lots of chin scars!)

And after France, there's Iowa!

We had a great five weeks in France this summer.  For me, I'm particularly pleased that Sophie and Theo are so attached to their Mamy Lily and aunties.  I think they are feeling the benefit and security that comes from knowing that there is a whole tribe of family that loves and cares for them.  Since being back in the States we have been following up their dose of family love with lots of visits amongst my family and our friends here.  There was a fun family visit to Keystone to see Nana Laura and Uncle Will's family.  And now we are here in Iowa, visiting Grandpa Ed (saw Nana Ginger quickly!), Auntie Amy and Johnny, and spending lots of time with wonderful cousin Maggie.  The roll call of names that Sophie and Theo repeat to themselves as they fall asleep is getting longer and longer. I love how father and son have the exact same expression in this photo!
